The New Suspension Railway as a Miniature Model

It was the summer of 1950 when Circus Althoff came to Wuppertal. They asked for a publicity event doing a drive in the Schwebebahn with an elephant. Pushing some initial worries aside, the head of the transport services gave his permission. Tuffi was put on the train along with some reporters on the morning of the 21st of July in 1950. Tuffi couldn't stand the situation, got into a panic and even before arriving at the station Adlerbrücke she jumped off the moving train.

In 2021, WDR's "Show with the Mouse" turned 50 years old!

In August 2022 the „bergische Universität Wuppertal“ turn 50 years old and we would like to engage the celebrations with a new special edition oft he suspension railway model.
