Large crowds celebrate Wuppertal Suspension Railway anniversary

The Wuppertal public utilities (WSW) have drawn a very positive conclusion from the suspension railway’s anniversary weekend. More than 100,000 passengers used the opportunity to ride the railway free of charge – significantly more than on a typical weekend. To accommodate the high demand, additional trains were deployed.

Specially designed campaign stations with photo walls were also very popular among visitors. The temporary station name changes at several stops will remain in place until the end of the week.

The WSW thank all visitors and the many helpers who contributed to the success of the celebration.
